My intention as your Naturopathic Doctor is to provide you with a safe environment and time to express your health concerns. By listening to your story, working with you, and using nurturing therapies, I hope to educate, empower, and inspire you to understand your body’s messages and trust your healing wisdom. I hope to encourage healthy positive changes into your life and help you reconnect with who you are – in body, mind, and spirit. The healing journey involves small steps taken everyday. My goal is to help you feel vibrant, healthy, and happy with the changes you have implemented for your personal growth and healing.

My journey began when at a young age I was diagnosed with a chronic disease. Nutrition, supplements, homeopathy and a positive frame of mind helped me with my healing and lead me to learn more about the human body. I completed an undergraduate Honours Biology degree at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, NS, and continued my education at the 4-year, full-time Naturopathic medical program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, graduating in 2000. It was during my education at CCNM that my passion and commitment to the art of healing and our own healing wisdom blossomed. I traveled to Belize in early 2008 to further my education by professionally training in Maya Abdominal and Uterine therapy. I am now one of a few practitioners in Canada who practice this ancient therapy.

I practiced in Ontario soon after graduation until 2008, when my father passed away from cancer. I decided to follow my own ND’s prescription, and take a sabbatical from my practice to heal emotionally and spiritually. My mother and I traveled throughout India for six months, allowing me to recharge my spirit. While there, I also furthered my education in homeopathy and Ayurvedic medicine, learning at the feet of experienced practitioners. I arrived back in Nova Scotia in 2009 and was given the opportunity to be a locum for a couple of Naturopathic doctors as they went on maternity leave. I fell in love with Nova Scotia again over the year and set up my own practice after I completed the locum opportunities.

I have a general family practice, seeing patients with digestive concerns, skin health, and chronic diseases. I have a special interest in hormonal, reproductive, and sexual health concerns, fertility awareness, pregnancy care, menopausal support, and emotional health. I love inspiring and encouraging women to deepen their self-awareness, nurture themselves, and reconnect with their body’s natural rhythms.
